MichiganOakland and Macomb counties are suburbs of the vibrant city of Detroit and are members of the prestigious Automation Alley. Characterized by gently rolling hills and a variety of luxurious homes, West Bloomfield is home to 64,860 residents. Known as “the lake township of Oakland County”, numerous small and medium inland lakes shape West Bloomfield’s landscape. Between the lakes and the 426-acre park system, residents have a limitless supply of year round outdoor recreational activities from which to choose. Sterling Heights is among the largest cities in Macomb County, which, like Oakland County, is in the Greater Detroit area. Sterling Heights is an award-winning city that repeatedly ranks among the top ten safest cities in the United States and according to F.B.I. statistics is the safest city in Michigan. With its 2000 Census population reporting in at 124,471 residents, Sterling Heights is MI’s fastest growing city with a population over 100,000. Within its 36.8 square miles, Sterling Heights boasts blue ribbon public schools, safe neighborhoods, a wide range of career options and the exceptional Wayne State University. Southeast Michigan consists of a medley of picturesque communities that embody all the best that a suburban American city has to offer.
